what do you need?

  • 350 ml heavy cream

  • 500 g strawberries (or any other fruit you like!)

  • 150 g meringue

These are the ingredients to make Eton Mess for 4 to 6 people.

let’s get started

Call in mom and dad because this is going to be the tastiest recipe ever—teamwork makes it extra fun!

  1. Whipping the cream.
Grab a big bowl and pour in the heavy cream. Take a whisk and start beating the cream until it’s fluffy and thick. Whisk, whisk, whisk! Put the whipped cream in the fridge while we prepare the rest.

  2. Strawberry time!
Wash the strawberries and remove the green tops. Cut them into big or small pieces—whatever you like best. And of course, you can sneak a little taste.

  3.  The big messy fun.
Take the whipped cream out of the fridge and add the strawberries. Now, grab a few meringues and crush them with your hands over the bowl. Watch as the little meringue snowflakes fall into the mix—so fun! Stir everything together just once, so it stays nice and fluffy. Time to dig in!

Variation tip:
Want to try something different? Swap strawberries for banana, blueberries, or raspberries.

Did you know…?

Once upon a time, a chef at an English school called Eton College accidentally made a messy dessert. He mixed whipped cream, strawberries, and meringue, and… WOW! It turned out super delicious. The name? Eton Mess!

‘Eton’ comes from the school, and ‘Mess’ means a yummy, fun, and sticky mix. But hey, sometimes the messiest things taste the best!
